configuration Box- A few of my favorite things- Spring

This configuration box, was build from scratch using en empty box from a laptop that we bough two years ago.  Yes, I've been working on this conf. box for that long.  Oh my.  collecting the elements I wanted to use.  I want to highlight my passions.  Sewing, reading, eating, (that's why you see a spoon on top from Baskin Robins), make up, perfume, traveling, nature and games. I love playing games.  So what I did was I used some boxes from a TH conf box kit that I used for another conf. Box done, precisely for Maria, and I integrate those to the empty space in the box, and construct divisions using card board.  I saved a lot of money, just by recycling and re-purposing.  Yes!!!

A gift from my cousin / sister Maria "http://vintagemehappy.blogspot.com/ and Maria Diaz in YT.  Thanks Mary!!!  I was saving this for a special occasion...and what better that this.  It's perfect for this project.   It resembles the dress form on my sewing room (diner room) jijijiji.

A trinket from Maria.  it has the perfect size to be placed around the birds nest.  The sun shines for all.

A cold porcelain flower made by me,  and painted in gold, then glued to a piece of crochet.   the shoe in the corner was also a gift from Mary.  Looks like she is my only supplier. Jajaja.  Go see her blog, she is very talented.  a Mixmedia artist.
Can you see my fav. trinket, pin.  The umbrella?  In the video is perfectly catched.  Go see the video in YT. http://www.youtube.com/user/ndiaz1969/videos?view=0
Here is the umbrella/  and a picture frame, because that's related to scrapbooking. moments capture by a camera. I covered the back of the box with paper and added some vintage images using Mod podge glue.  To give that final touch that I love so much.
many of the flowers included in this conf. box are hand made using either paper or fabric.

The Y is for my Middle name.  Secret.  ;-)

I love to include my passion for Jesus Christ in my creations.
And a mirror, actually this project has three.  Can you find them?  Mirror, mirror in the wall....

Lapbook Christmas book

A minibook made completely with file folders.  I have recycled many file folders and created this minibook for which  it's name is "Lapbook" . This is an original creation of Kathy Orta.  It's a complicated book, with multiples folding and cuts,   with lots and lots of tags and multiple pockets.  It also has a perfect opportunity in the center for greeting cards and letters or maybe  big family pictures.  I follow Kathy's instruction step by step and complete mine after 24 hours of work.  Thanks Mrs. Orta for your talent that you willingly share with the world.  This is the lapbook finalized and it's going to be the gift for my new BFF Mary.

Honoring Mrs. Robinson, My attempt for a grunge project

Precisely now...when we mourn the lost of the 20 children and 6 adults, (teachers and other personnel) in Connecticut, I have completed a project that I started early in November.  Today this project gains more importance than ever.  Saying thank you is so important.

My son and I wanted to give thanks to Mrs. Robinson, his History teacher.  Such a fine and sensitive woman.  This is how we want to thank her for been an amazing teacher and for everything she does for her students.  Specially my son.   I'm sure she does it for all of them.  But this is my way of saying thanks Mrs. Robinson for her faith in my son.

She is a fan of Johnny Depp.   So considering that fact...I decided to create this mini using grunge colors and embellies.  I don't know much about her particular taste with regards of color coordination, and so, I am hoping she likes this.  According to my son she is also a fan of pirates. That's why you'll see a lot of pirate stuff and J Depp, combined.
I want to thank a guy in youtube, he is Sparkuus on YT  for his tutorial on how to build the chest.  He made it so simple for me.  Also to howtobeabadartist, because she inspired me for the decoration part.  To both of you...Many blessings and many thanks!!!!!
Here are the pics.  I will upload a video in my YT channel with more pics.

Front of minibook. Layered with fabric, napkins (thanks Maria) Msmaria990 inYT,  lace and leather.

Paper flowers I made and one from a RAK from Maria, and a ticket I made using stamps and distress inks.
Pocket and tags, and a 3D image of Johnny D.  I framed it and colored the frame with several inks and perfect pearls and sprays to obtain the grunge look.
Tags colored with distress inks,  Lots of it.  Paper trims.  More detail pics in YT.
Fot these tags....I used glossy accents to cover the land portion of the map.  A picture frame for pics. The crown, the globe and butterfly were cut using Slice machine cards from  MM (Making Memories)
The page also opens to revel  another section for more tags and pictures.
Stickeled butterflies.  Tags,  more pics in my YT Channel. ndiaz1969
Spray and paper flowers.  Clear embossed butterflies.  Doily in the back. A swirl I  clear embossed, from one MM card
Another multiple page for pictures.  Frabric flowers, all hand made by me.

These are flowers I made using cold porcelain. I painted them in bronce.  The tag was colored using TH inks and a rel key colored with alcohol inks.
Here I combined paper flowers  made from a book and cold porcelain.
And here is where the minibook will be saved.  Inside this chest.  This chest involved many hours of painting, glueing, spraying.  The  color effects where created with a piece of sponge and various colors mixed to give a vision of aged.

All these are cold porcelain or fabric flowers I did and painted using several products and colors.  If you need details, ask me. Some paper flowers with pearl trims from  a RAK from (MsMaria990) Also Vintage me happy.  Thanks for everything you do for me María.
